According to Odaily, six months after stealing assets from Orbit Chain, the hacker has recently moved 4,000 ETH to a new address and laundered it through Tornado Cash. Earlier this year, Orbit Chain was robbed of assets worth $81.5 million at the time, including stablecoins, WBTC, and ETH. The hacker then converted some of the stablecoins and WBTC into 17,250 ETH at an average price of $2,301. The remaining 26,750 ETH and 20 million DAI were stored in eight wallets until an hour ago when they began to move.
Furthermore, as the hacker converted most of the stolen assets into ETH, and ETH has seen a significant increase since the beginning of the year, the 26,750 ETH has appreciated by $37.45 million compared to when it was stolen. This move by the hacker comes after a period of inactivity, marking a significant development in the aftermath of the Orbit Chain hack.
