peaq announced a partnership with Parasail to help emerging DePIN projects build and grow their networks faster by building a Restaking layer for DePIN, while providing trust guarantees for DePIN hardware services. This collaboration aims to more efficiently increase user confidence and demand for DePIN, while bringing greater resource inflows to the peaq network. Through this collaboration, token holders can stake token assets on the peaq network to secure and support DePIN services on peaq, and receive corresponding DePIN token rewards. For DePIN users, Parasail's Restaking pool will be part of the DePIN service guarantee, making users eligible for payouts and compensation from Parasail when the service fails. Although DePIN is rapidly gaining popularity, widespread real user adoption remains a major challenge for the industry. For DePIN, user participation is critical to creating a strong and useful network. Without a large number of users registering devices and providing real-world services, decentralized infrastructure networks will be difficult to popularize and their data will lack accuracy. However, without an established, operating network, it is almost impossible to attract users to start using these services. Parasail helps projects solve this problem by leveraging mature assets from existing DePINs or Layer-1. Re-pledged assets as a service guarantee for a specific DePIN means that users may be eligible for compensation from Parasail's Restaking pool when the service fails, thereby increasing user confidence and promoting long-term adoption. According to DefiLlama data, the Parasail protocol has more than $80 million in TVL, making it the largest DePIN Restaking protocol at present. Through integration with peaq, Parasail will allow emerging DePINs to leverage existing assets, user bases, and on-chain devices to quickly create a running, valuable infrastructure network. DePINs that provide these assets will receive corresponding token rewards. In addition, by providing economic guarantees, Parasail helps increase confidence in smaller, unestablished projects, giving them a fair chance to prove themselves in the DePIN space. This collaboration will significantly increase the speed and reliability of emerging DePINs on the peaq network, paving the way for the popularization of decentralized infrastructure networks.
