io.net: Will temporarily stop supporting Apple M chip devices

io.net posted on Discord that Apple M chip devices will be temporarily removed from the list of supported devices, and support for M series chip computers including M2 and M3 will stop on July 15. Support for M2 Ultra and M3 devices will continue until the end of this month. In the short term, io.net must prioritize managing supply and reducing emission impacts on the network. Based on discussions with current and potential customers, prioritizing GPUs and providing incentives for GPUs in high demand are very important for the sustainability of the network. Rewards for all M series chips will be transferred to eligible GPUs. If there is demand or opportunity to exploit M series chips in the future, support will be restored. The team will carefully re-evaluate this situation every month and restore support for more devices as soon as feasible.
