The International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) has released a new report highlighting that the trend of EU blockchain projects has moved beyond the hype cycle and is now focused on demonstrating “practicality across industries and the public sector.”
The report highlights key public infrastructure initiatives such as the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum (EUBOF) as essential to shaping Europe’s digital future. Other projects that have proven to be essential to improving transparency and efficiency in supply chain management across the EU focus on supply chains and the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
INATBA also noted that the next decade will be “critical” for blockchain products in terms of enhanced security, automation, governance, and efficiency. The report recommends that public institutions and businesses must “invest heavily” to remain competitive and sustainable. (Cointelegraph)
