OKX Ventures announced the completion of a strategic investment in zkLink. zkLink Nova, created by zkLink, is a multi-chain aggregation Layer 3 network based on zero-knowledge proof technology. It uses zkLink's self-developed multi-chain ZK-Rollup architecture to aggregate the fragmented liquidity of multiple first-layer blockchains and second-layer Rollup networks, providing developers with a unified access portal.
Since 2021, zkLink has developed into an aggregation infrastructure for assets, liquidity, and applications across L1 and Ethereum L2, providing two core solutions: zkLink Nova and zkLink X, both of which use zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology to provide developers with a general smart contract platform and customized high-performance dedicated solutions. According to the latest data on the official website, the general aggregation three-layer zkLink Nova mainnet has more than 1 million independent wallet addresses, and the total amount of locked funds on the chain TVL has reached 1 billion US dollars in two months.
Dora Yue, founder of OKX Ventures, said: "With the upgrade of Ethereum 2.0, ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups have become more prosperous as mainstream expansion solutions. For example, the most representative Arbitrum One ranks first with a TVL of 16 billion US dollars, accounting for 41%; at the same time, the flourishing of the second-layer network has brought challenges of liquidity fragmentation and interoperability; zkLink's multi-chain aggregation layer solution has improved capital efficiency and utilization. zkLink Nova, launched in March, provides possibilities for new DeFi products such as one-stop aggregated lending markets, aggregated AMMs, multi-chain derivatives, and NFT trading markets; we are very happy to see that the zkLink Nova ecosystem has rapidly grown into the largest third-layer network in the current Ethereum ecosystem, and has cooperated with 8 L2s and liquidity centers. OKX Ventures continues to be optimistic about the liquidity aggregation layer protocol represented by zkLink, and continues to improve the Web3 infrastructure to prepare for carrying millions of users."
