Social media platform X is under scrutiny by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) following widespread reports that a change in default settings allowed users’ X data to be fed into the training of the artificial intelligence chatbot Grok.
The DPC recently told TechCrunch: “The DPC has been in contact with X on this matter for several months, with the most recent interaction occurring yesterday. We are therefore surprised by the current developments. We have followed up with X today, are awaiting a response, and expect to engage further with it early next week.” (Cointelegraph)
