California DMV digitizes titles for 42 million vehicles

Oxhead Alpha announced that it has digitized 42 million vehicle titles for the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on Avalanche. Vehicle owners will soon be able to claim digital titles with verifiable credentials in minutes through the DMV’s secure mobile wallet app. The escrowed Avalanche blockchain smart contracts mediate the title transfer, and consumers can track and manage their vehicle titles digitally, reducing trips to the DMV and post office. In addition, the blockchain technology can provide an early warning system for lien fraud and an immutable ledger.
