Citigroup: The Fed is expected to cut interest rates by 50 basis points in September and November

Citigroup predicts that the Fed will cut interest rates by 50 basis points each in September and November. Another investment bank, Goldman Sachs, believes that if the August non-farm payrolls report also records a weak performance and confirms the slowdown in employment growth, then the possibility of a 50 basis point interest rate cut in September cannot be ruled out.
