Orderly Network Announces Token Economics, 60% of New Net Transaction Fees Allocated to $Order Stakers

Orderly Network announces more details on token economics and upcoming airdrop, which will take place in August as previously announced. More details on our token will be announced soon, including exact launch date, release mechanism, claiming process, and more. -Token Distribution: $ORDER1 billion will be generated, of which 55% will be used for ecosystem development (including airdrop), 20% will be allocated to the Orderly team and advisors, 15% will be allocated to strategic investors, and 10% will be retained in the Orderly Foundation treasury to facilitate exchange liquidity and related operations. Of the total supply, 13.3% will be allocated for airdrops. All tokens from the airdrop will be unlocked immediately at the Token Generation (TGE). Any token allocation not claimed within 60 days will be returned to the Orderly treasury. -Staking: Once the Orderly Network token is live, token holders will be able to stake Orderly tokens and receive 60% of net transaction fees in return. To date, Orderly has generated over $8 million in net transaction fees (after deducting the share of frontend builders) - after the TGE, 60% of the new net transaction fees will continue to accrue and go to Orderly token stakers. Staking rewards will be paid in USDC upon redemption. The Orderly team and investors' tokens are not eligible for staking rewards during the lockup period. Staking Orderly tokens will also provide additional rewards for any trader using the Orderly Network's integrated decentralized exchanges (DEX), and staking will also be a key factor in future trading and market making reward calculations. There is also the potential to increase the percentage of net transaction fees accruing to stakers in the future. More information on the new trading and market making rewards will be announced shortly after the token launch. Staking functionality will go live shortly after the TGE; more details on the date and time will be announced soon. -Governance: The Orderly Network is planned to be divided into a development entity and a foundation that oversees the protocol.
