F2pool co-founder Wang Chun posted on X that he has been looking forward to participating in SpaceX's manned polar mission for 2 and a half years. The proposal, planning, trajectory design and crew selection of this mission are all done by the customer.
This trip is a space tourism mission, but it is different from any previous space tourists. This is the first time in the history of space exploration that private individuals can rent an entire spacecraft to plan, design and execute very personal missions with clear goals.
Earlier, SpaceX, a US space exploration technology company, announced on Monday that it will carry out the first manned mission around the Earth's poles by the end of this year. This private space flight mission is led by cryptocurrency entrepreneur Wang Chun, and the other three members include a polar explorer, a roboticist and a filmmaker.
The Fram2 mission lasts 3-5 days. Members will observe the Earth's North and South Poles through the dome in a near-polar orbit with an inclination of 90 degrees and an altitude of 425 to 450 kilometers, study the aurora and physical phenomena in the polar regions, and take the first human X-ray in space.
