Ethereum EOF proposal included in Pectra hard fork

The Ethereum EVM Object Format (EOF) Improvement Proposal has been included in the Pectra hard fork, which is expected to be executed later this year or early next year. The EOF proposal will make a series of smaller changes to upgrade the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). EOF will make smart contracts more developer-friendly, especially for those who build decentralized applications using the Solidity or Vyper programming languages, but may break existing smart contracts. Developers have added a new version that allows DApp builders to choose which version of the EVM to use when deploying their code. (Coindesk)
