Swiss tech company FinalSpark recently launched a program that allows scientists to rent cloud access to "biocomputers" made from human brain cells for just $500 per month.
According to FinalSpark, the purpose of these biocomputers is to develop an efficient, low-energy solution to the ballooning costs associated with developing artificial intelligence models. The company says that using computers made from organic materials to train artificial intelligence can be 100,000 times more efficient than using traditional silicon-based technology.
FinalSpark founder Fred Jordan said Neurospark is the only company that offers computers made from clumps of human brain cells, called organoids, that can be live streamed online. (Cointelegraph)
