Harris allies warn: Polls are too optimistic, race is as tight as ever

The founder of the main outside spending group backing Harris's run for the US presidency said their own polls were not as "optimistic" as other polls showed, and warned that Democrats face much more intense competition in swing states. McLean, chairman of Harris's super PAC Future Forward, said the committee has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to support Harris in the November 5 election. "Our data is far less optimistic than you see publicly," said McLean, who rarely speaks publicly. McLean said Pennsylvania is still the most important state in the group's analysis, and he called the race a "coin toss." Harris must win one of the three states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia to enter the White House. McLean also pointed out that the competition is as fierce as ever. (Jin Shi)
