Malaysian authorities destroyed 985 Bitcoin mining machines on Monday as part of a nationwide crackdown on electricity theft. Videos circulated showing a heavy steamroller rolling over the equipment to crush it, with the operation destroying about $450,000 worth of mining machines. This is not the first time Malaysian authorities have taken this action. Back in 2021, about 1,069 Bitcoin miners were crushed by a steamroller for suspected electricity theft.
