Klaytn and Finschia's new brand Kaia will be launched on the mainnet at 10:00 on August 29

According to the official press release, the Kaia mainnet will be launched at 10:00 on August 29, aiming to become one of the fastest EVM blockchains with one-second finality, ultra-low gas fees, and support from leading Asian Web3 partners such as Kakao and LINE NEXT. Kaia was launched after the merger of Kakao's Klaytn and LINE's Finschia in April this year. Kakao operates an instant messaging app used by 96% of Koreans, while LINE is the main communication platform in Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. The press release stated that the total number of users of the two apps exceeds 250 million. The Kaia blockchain is expected to solve the user experience and distribution challenges of Web3 through deep integration with instant messaging applications such as Kakao and LINE. Its ultimate goal is to build an ecosystem that supports DeFi, games, RWA and Web3-based communication applications. (The Block)
