According to The Block, the NFT market of the encryption exchange Kraken has launched a beta version and is open to users who have registered for the waiting list. In a beta launch, the marketplace will provide users with access to more than 70 NFT collections across the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems, a Kraken spokesperson said. Users will not incur gas fees for buying and selling NFTs hosted by Kraken, but gas fees will be incurred if NFTs are transferred in or out on the Kraken platform. As for royalties, a Kraken spokesperson said, “A portion of the value sold by the NFT Marketplace goes back to the original content creator. This ensures creators are always properly compensated for their time and effort.” Other features of the Kraken NFT Marketplace include the ability to List or offer NFTs in eight fiat currencies and over 200 cryptocurrencies online, as well as view and purchase NFTs listed on other marketplaces protected by Kraken's secure framework. Waitlist applications for Kraken’s NFT marketplace opened in May and were originally scheduled to launch this summer, but have since been delayed.
