Fed's Harker: Fed is doing a good job guiding the economy

Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Patrick Harker said the Fed has effectively responded to challenging economic conditions over the past few years. Harker did not make forward-looking comments on monetary policy or the economic outlook. He described the Fed's policy as looking at the economy broadly and letting incoming data set the policy path. "Over the past 30 months, I believe we have proven ourselves to be a good promoter of the economy," Harker said. (Jin Shi)
