BitInfoCharts data shows that over the past 52 weeks, the number of wallets holding 1,000 or more BTC has increased by nearly 3.5%, while the number of wallets holding 0.0001 or less BTC has increased by 75%, while the number of wallets holding 1 to 10 BTC appears to be shrinking.
Specifically, the number of wallets holding 1 to 10 BTC has decreased by 0.35%, while the number of wallets holding 10 to 100 BTC has fallen by more than 3%. The only group that has not grown is the wallets holding 100,000 BTC or more.
On the other hand, the number of wallets holding 10,000 or more BTC has decreased by 3.88%, while the number of wallets holding 1,000 to 10,000 BTC has increased by 3.43%.
It should be noted that the wallets mentioned in the above data do not necessarily represent individual BTC users. Many wallets can be associated with the same individual or organization, and others may be abandoned wallets.
Statistically, this suggests that a large portion of the intermediate BTC holdings have fallen from the 1-100 range back to near zero. If this is the case, a large portion of wallets with BTC values between $26,542 and $2,654,200 as of October 2023 have reduced their holdings over the past year. On the bright side, the number of wallets holding $1 million worth of BTC has increased by about 25% since the beginning of 2024. (Cointelegraph)
