Fortune reported that CZ will be released early this Friday, two days earlier than his official release date, because if the release date coincides with the weekend, the inmate will leave the detention center early.
CZ has been in federal detention since April after agreeing to return to the United States from Dubai. During this period, CZ spent about two months in a minimum security prison in the California desert and was then transferred to a halfway house in Long Beach, where he can go out for supervised activities and even go to the movie theater, according to prison officials.
CZ's lawyer said CZ hopes not to be interviewed on the day of his release.
