According to an October 8 DappRadar report, driven by the growth of blockchain activity led by AI applications, DApps have grown rapidly in the third quarter of 2024, with the number of daily unique active wallets (UAW) reaching a record 17.2 million, an increase of 70% from the previous quarter.
This growth is largely due to the performance of AI-related DApps, which saw daily visits to these DApps increase by 71% during the period, reaching nearly 4.3 million UAWs.
DeFi application activity declined during the quarter, with TVL falling from $168 billion to $160 billion. Ethereum network TVL fell 20% to $95 billion. In contrast, other L1 blockchains such as Sui and Aptos performed best, achieving 78% growth during the period, with TVLs of $1.6 billion and $1.3 billion, respectively. (Cointelegraph)
