Meme coin Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) hit a market cap of $150 million in less than four days (now back to $133 million) after rumors that it was launched by the a16z-funded AI bot "Truth Terminal." Its creator, Andy Ayrey, said in an Oct. 13 post that the bot was not directly responsible for launching the GOAT token, but was involved in promoting it. Ayrey reiterated that Truth Terminal is not a crypto project, but is "focused on studying the phenomenon of meme contagion and the tail risks of unsupervised unlimited creativity in the (large language model) era." "The takeoff of this meme coin proves the thesis of an AI calibration and security company I'm building. This is my main source of game skins - I also bought some GOAT and people sent me airdrops." Ayrey added. (Cointelegraph)
