Bitcoin L2 project BEVM released the Super Bitcoin technical framework white paper. This is a value Internet with BTC as the core and sharing the Bitcoin consensus security. It not only inherits the security of the existing Bitcoin network, but also breaks through the current limitation of BTC being only used for transfers, providing more scalability and flexibility for the Bitcoin network.
The white paper points out that although the Lightning Network inherits the network security of Bitcoin and provides some scalability solutions, it is still insufficient in supporting smart contracts and further improving scalability. Therefore, the team proposed a five-layer architecture for Super Bitcoin:
With the Bitcoin network as the core layer, the proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism is used to ensure the security of the system and the irreversibility of transactions;
Build an efficient communication layer based on the lightning network to achieve rapid transmission of asset information while retaining the decentralized characteristics of Bitcoin;
Introduce Taproot consensus as an extension layer to abstract lightning network communication and asset information and provide a standardized interface for the upper virtual machine layer;
The multi-chain layer, also known as the fusion layer, consists of multiple lightning chains protected by BTC consensus, integrating any mainstream virtual machine (VM) to achieve the unified "multi-chain interconnection" and "multi-chain interoperability" of BTC consensus;
At the application layer, provide developers with a wealth of tools and interfaces to build a DApp ecosystem and share the security of BTC consensus.
