According to official news, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today that the "Interbank Account Data Sharing" program is officially named "Account Connect". The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation launched the "Account Connect Developer Platform" to promote banks to share account data with other banks safely and efficiently according to customer wishes. According to reports, the "Account Connect" pilot program was launched in January this year, with a total of 28 banks participating. The program established codes and standards for interbank account data sharing, covering retail, corporate and SME customers, making it convenient for banks to share deposit account information under their names with another bank according to customer wishes, and promoting the industry to launch more data-based innovative banking products and services to enhance customer experience.
