According to Cyvers Alerts, the Base network has seen multiple suspicious transactions involving unverified lending contracts today. The attacker initially made a suspicious transaction and made a profit of about $993,000 from these unverified contracts. Most of these tokens were transferred across chains to Ethereum, of which about $202,000 was deposited in Tornado Cash. The attacker exploited the same vulnerability to obtain an additional $455,000. The root cause seems to be the manipulation of WETH prices through excessive borrowing.
