According to The Block, European encryption venture capital firm LeadBlock Partners has completed the first close of its second new fund, which has a target fundraising amount of $150 million. The new fund, which will invest in tokens and equities, is backed by family offices, hedge fund managers and financial institutions, as well as cryptocurrency market makers, including GSR, Portofino Technologies and Woorton, among others. Wintermute co-founder Yoann Turpin and SwissBorg founder Cyrus Fazel invested in the fund. LeadBlock Partners was founded two years ago by former Goldman Sachs employees David Chreng-Messembourg and Baptiste Cota. The first fund has supported Yuga Labs, Bitpanda and BlockFi, etc.
