OpenAI's CFO said that it is actively discussing how to strike a balance between the value customers require and OpenAI's operating costs, especially in terms of computing expenses. OpenAI's investment in advanced models can come from two sources: free cash flow generated by the business. or by raising equity and debt financing, emphasizing long-term potential for investors. OpenAI's consumer business is experiencing significant growth and accounts for approximately 75% of overall operations, while the enterprise segment, while still relatively young, is already generating significant annual revenue. It is critical to remain open to adding new business models on top of the existing framework to ensure access to as many users as possible, which may require us to shift from a pure subscription model. OpenAI discussed a potential deal with Oracle as a starting point for maximizing computing power and increasing consumer impact.
