GAIB, a crypto AI startup focused on tokenized GPUs, has raised $5 million in a Pre-Seed round of funding, led by Hack VC, Faction VC, and Hashed, with participation from Spartan, Animoca Brands, MH Ventures, Aethir, Near Foundation, Chris Yin of Plume Network, and Lucas Kozinski of Renzo Protocol.
GAIB co-founder and CEO Kony Kwong declined to disclose the post-financing valuation or whether any investors serve as advisors or directors. Kwong said GAIB has completed prototyping and is ready for a pilot launch later this month, with plans to launch an alpha product in the next two months. He added that the GAIB token will also be launched after the product launch.
Kwong said the GAIB platform will be deployed on multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Plume, Monad, Movement, Berachain, Optimism, Arbitrum, Mantle, Avalanche Zircuit, and Polygon.
Currently, Singapore-based GAIB has 19 employees, and Kwong plans to expand the team to marketing, operations, and R&D functions. (The Block)
