Concordium, Google and Danish transmission system operator (TSO) Energinet are piloting a project that aims to transform the green energy landscape.
At the heart of the initiative is Energinet’s Project Origin and Energy Track & Trace platforms, which leverage Concordium blockchain technology to ensure traceability, transparency, trust and “accountability for renewable energy consumption.”
Energinet’s pilot phase for granular certificates on its Energy Track & Trace platform will begin testing in December this year and will “demonstrate the feasibility of tracking energy on a time-based system.” This approach records hourly electricity consumption, highlights the source of the energy and “confirms that it meets green energy standards.”
Integrating the Concordium blockchain will ensure that every transaction is immutably recorded, providing “a secure and transparent foundation for the next generation of energy tracking systems.” (CrowdfundInsider)
