Ethereum developer Ryan Berckmans commented on Resnic's job-hopping: "It's great to see Max Resnick leave the Ethereum scaling core development community. Critics like Resnick often claim that Ethereum needs to become more like Solana. But in fact Ethereum has already reached its peak through its L2 scaling strategy - there is no need to change strategy. Solana will try to buy what Ethereum already has, including customer diversity, real protocol specifications, research communities, and more on-chain capital. What is actually happening now is that Solana is taking big steps to try to become more like Ethereum. Resnick is now part of Solana's efforts to become more like Ethereum, which is ironic considering that he has always said that Ethereum must become more like Solana. However, all of Solana's funds cannot allow them to buy decentralization. In short, Solana is basically a paper tiger with strong financial resources. Not surprisingly, this suits Resnick very well."
