Coinbase plans to delist Tether's USDT stablecoin in Europe. Coinbase said it will evaluate the re-enabling of stablecoin services at a later date to achieve MiCA compliance. As the European cryptocurrency regulations approach the implementation deadline, European cryptocurrency trading platforms are preparing to delist local non-compliant stablecoins, including Coinbase Europe, Coinbase Germany and Coinbase Custody International.
Coinbase said: "Based on the latest information, we currently expect to have to restrict services for the following assets: USDT, PAX, PYUSD, GUSD, GYEN and DAI." Refers to assets restricted by the European Cryptocurrency Market Regulation (MiCA). (Cointelegraph)
