Stephen Innes, an analyst at SPI Asset Management, said that although market participants generally believe that further rate cuts and strong earnings growth will coexist, these factors are not necessarily interdependent. The Fed is widely expected to cut interest rates by 25 basis points, but the direction after that remains unclear. In any case, the subsequent trend of the dollar, stock and bond markets will depend largely on the Fed's upcoming guidance rather than the rate cut on Wednesday itself.
