The Digital Society Promotion Headquarters of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan has established a new "Web3 Working Group". Experts who previously participated in the Web3 Project Team (web3PT) will continue to join as consultants. Web3 Working Group Leader and Member of Parliament Akihisa Shiozaki said: "We will continue to make multiple reforms to the Liberal Democratic Party web3PT since 2022, and strive to enhance our country's competitiveness in the rapidly expanding crypto economy." A joint meeting of the Digital Society Promotion Headquarters and the Financial Research Group will be held on the 19th. The meeting will include a hearing by the Financial Services Agency on crypto asset transactions and a hearing by a private organization on the security of the crypto asset industry.
