S&P: Declines to comment on whether MicroStrategy may join the S&P 500

There are rumors that MicroStrategy may be included in the S&P 500 index after the Nasdaq index is adjusted due to changes in accounting rules that will take effect in 2025. According to market sources, S&P declined to comment on whether MicroStrategy may join the S&P 500 index, but may regard it as a company similar to a closed-end fund rather than a real operating company. Closed-end funds raise funds through investment and issuance of stocks, and such funds and ETFs do not meet the inclusion criteria of the SP500.
