Thai Prime Minister Petunthan Shinawatra recently disclosed her personal assets worth $400 million, including two properties in London, investments in multiple companies, and a range of luxury watches and bags. The 38-year-old Shinawatra family member also listed 1.09 billion baht (about $31.6 million) in cash and deposits in more than 26 bank accounts. When she disclosed this information to the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand, NACC, her total assets reached 13.85 billion baht (about $400 million). According to documents exposed by local media, Petunthan also declared debts of nearly 5 billion baht, and her net worth reached 8.9 billion baht (US$258 million). Petunthan is Thaksin's youngest daughter. She became the third Shinawatra family member to lead Thailand in August 2024, after the former Prime Minister Setthal Thavism was removed by the Constitutional Court for ethical violations. Petongtan's spouse, Pidok, disclosed assets of 147 million baht and income of 5.13 million baht in the previous year, including gains from cryptocurrency trading. (Jinshi)
