According to BlockBeats, Coindesk analyst James Van Straten noted on January 8 that the cryptocurrency market has been in a bull market since the end of 2024. However, the rising trend in global government bond yields has become increasingly noticeable.
The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield, considered a global benchmark, rose to 4.70% as of Wednesday, nearing a multi-year high. This increase of over 100 basis points has occurred since the Federal Reserve first lowered the federal funds rate in September.
Similarly, the yield on the 30-year UK government bond reached 5.35% this Wednesday, marking its highest level since 1998. This yield has risen by 105 basis points since the Federal Reserve's initial rate cut in September.
