The FLock Foundation announces collaboration with two leading AI scholars:
Professor Zhang Zhao: Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, a world-renowned large-scale machine learning expert, who has participated in the open source protein structure prediction model OpenFold.
Professor You Yang: A young professor at the National University of Singapore, he has broken the world record for ImageNet and BERT training speeds, and his optimizers LARS and LAMB have become industry standards.
The two scholars will help FLock expand the decentralized learning framework and promote the democratization and innovation of AI.
It is reported that FLock extends the traditional model training that relies on public data to private domain data, improving the adaptability of AI models in specific fields such as medical care and finance, while protecting user data privacy.
By offloading training tasks to user devices (such as mobile phones and laptops), FLock utilizes the idle computing power of edge devices to achieve distributed training, significantly reducing training latency and quickly adapting to dynamic environments. While protecting data privacy, users can also receive rewards through data contribution.
The FLock Foundation has now opened applications for FL Alliance Private Beta, and welcomes users and organizations interested in decentralized artificial intelligence to participate and jointly promote the innovation of AI technology. Click here to sign up for FL Alliance Private Beta.
