Sonic (formerly Fantom) co-founder and well-known DeFi master Andre Cronje responded to Monad on X:
1. Monad did not do the most basic investigation. Multichain is an independent third-party cross-chain. Among the more than 10 chains affected, only Fantom continues to seek recovery.
2. Monad's narrative changes every few months. Monad first said that it would make a parallel EVM, but we found that they could not deliver the promised performance numbers and reminded them that unless they made another DB, Monad announced that it would launch MonadDB, and it is estimated that supersets will be made next.
3. Moand's Devnet is just a forked network of Avalanche, and even the gas fee token was forgotten to be renamed from AVA to Monad.
4. Monad has no cross-chain bridge, no technology, nothing. Sonic developed what Monad promised and is busy with the next iteration. Sonic does not need $3 billion (Note: Monad's valuation in the previous round of financing).
Earlier, in the celebratory news that Sonic officially announced that TVL exceeded $100 million, Monad team member tunez sarcastically said that "the amount is the same as what was lost in the Multichain incident."
