Odaily Planet Daily News: The Financial Times Monetary Policy Radar team expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates twice in 2025, and expects a six-month interval between the two cuts.
The Federal Reserve said in its Beige Book report, which surveyed regional corporate contacts, that economic activity in the Federal Reserve's 12 regional federal districts grew "slightly or moderately" in late November and December last year, an improvement from the previous version of the report released in early December last year. The Beige Book is one of the regular economic briefing documents received by Federal Reserve officials before policy meetings. The next meeting of officials will be held on January 28-29. The futures market shows that it is almost impossible to lower the benchmark lending rate at this meeting. (Jinshi)
