Cathie Wood, CEO and chief investment officer of ARK Invest, is betting that Trump's regulatory and growth agenda will revive the U.S. IPO market. "Regulatory reform will go a long way toward restoring the public markets," she said in an interview on Wednesday. "I understand why companies want to stay private. There's really a lot of friction in the regulatory hurdles they face in going to the public markets." Wall Street has been waiting for a bigger revival in IPOs after a small rebound in new stock issuance in 2024. "What the new administration is doing is replacing fear with optimism," Wood said. "People have seriously underestimated the importance of deregulation in unleashing instincts. We're very excited about this and our strategy will set us apart in the market."
