Burwick Law, the law firm that sued pump.fun, asked the platform to remove tokens that used its IP

Odaily Planet Daily News US law firm Burwick Law said in a statement on February 5 that it and Wolf Popper had sent a cease and desist letter to pump.fun, demanding the "immediate removal" of Dog Shit Going NoWhere (DOGSHIT2) and other tokens that "impersonated our company" by using intellectual property (including its logo and name) without permission. According to pump.fun, multiple users created tokens using the names and logos of Burwick Law and Wolf Popper in various configurations. In the ongoing lawsuit against pump.fun, some tokens also used the names and portraits of Burwick Law employees and one of its clients. The law firm said: "Burwick Law confirmed that pump.fun has the technical ability to delete these tokens, but chose not to take action, despite the obvious financial and legal risks to the public." Earlier in January, Burwick Law, a US law firm specializing in the field of cryptocurrency, said it was considering filing a lawsuit on behalf of investors who suffered losses from pump.fun. Burwick said the move came after "months" of working with ordinary people who had lost "significant amounts of money" to unfulfilled promises on platforms such as Meme Coin, Rug Pull and pump.fun. The statement added: "Over the past few months, pump.fun has collected hundreds of millions of dollars in fees while the platform has been rife with illegal drug use, self-harm, racism, anti-Semitism, obscenity, violence and other antisocial behavior."
