U.S. Rep. Wagner accuses former Biden administration of trying to isolate cryptocurrency industry from economy

Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. Representative Ann Wagner accused the former Biden administration of trying to isolate the cryptocurrency industry from the economy at a congressional hearing on the theme of cryptocurrency debanking. "Regulators should not pick winners and losers based on which industries are politically favored by the current president. Individuals running completely legal businesses should have the right to seek access to banking services. Banks must be free to make decisions about the customers they serve without being pressured by regulators to force them to follow the line of hostile governments." At a Senate Banking Committee hearing on Wednesday, cryptocurrency critic Elizabeth Warren also focused on the issue of debanking. She said the cryptocurrency industry should not be excluded from the banking system.
