Andre Cronje: L2 is the reason for Ethereum's re-inflation

"I don't understand how Ethereum users convince themselves. L2 is the reason for Ethereum's inflation again." The focus of the debate is the two competing visions of Ethereum's expansion. Critics believe that L2 generates considerable revenue, but only returns a small portion of data availability and security to Ethereum. Supporters of decentralized expansion, including Cronje, advocate the direct use of solutions such as Sonic to enhance Ethereum's base layer to reduce dependence on external L2 providers. CryptoQuant research director Julio Moreno pointed out that Ethereum's supply has now exceeded pre-merger levels (September 2022), confirming that the network has resumed inflation. To address the inefficiency of Ethereum's L2 solution, Cronje proposed using Sonic's technology to bypass the limitations of the centralized model. According to previous news, members of the Sonic Labs team publicly questioned the flow of Base sorter revenue, implying that the Base team was dumping ETH, which was refuted by members of the Base team.
