Plume and Mercado Bitcoin to Collaborate on $40 Million RWA Tokenization Plan

Odaily Planet Daily News RWA startup Plume Network has partnered with Latin American trading platform Mercado Bitcoin as part of a plan to tokenize $40 million worth of Brazilian "asset-backed securities, consumer credit, corporate debt and accounts receivable." The two companies said in a statement: "The program has established a direct bridge between global capital and emerging market investment, allowing users to directly access income opportunities in Brazil, the largest economy in Latin America." Mercado Bitcoin plans to use Plume Network's infrastructure and L1 blockchain to provide global customers with the opportunity to invest in tokenized Brazilian assets. Data shows that the overall tokenized RWA market has been growing steadily, nearly doubling in the past 12 months, driven by asset classes such as government securities and commodities. This week, the Trump family DeFi platform World Liberty Financial partnered with RWA tokenization company Ondo Finance to promote the adoption of RWA. (The Block)
