Former Goldman Sachs analyst: Musk's desire for the U.S. Treasury to adopt blockchain may pose national security risks

Odaily Planet Daily News: Nic Puckrin, a former Goldman Sachs analyst and co-founder of blockchain education center The Coin Bureau, published an article in Fortune magazine saying that Musk hopes that the U.S. Treasury’s adoption of blockchain may cause national security risks. He pointed out that although blockchain technology and the unlimited financial opportunities provided by the cryptocurrency field can not only help increase personal wealth, but also improve the efficiency and transparency of nation-states, the U.S. Treasury’s joining the blockchain will bring hacker attacks to many sensitive financial information (such as defense spending or foreign exchange operations). Even if these security issues can be solved by using encrypted data and privacy-protected blockchains, there seems to be no blockchain that can handle more than $5 trillion in U.S. Treasury assets.
