Network Effects: While software can be replicated, acquiring a customer base like Facebook or Nasdaq is challenging. 3. Deep Integration: Software deeply integrated into workflows has high switching costs. 4. Ecosystem Lock-In: Platforms with strong developer ecosystems and third-party integrations have high user retention. 5. Regulatory Barriers: AI cannot secure the licenses and relationships needed in highly regulated industries like finance and healthcare. 6.
