Immunefi: Cryptocurrency industry losses from hacker attacks in Q1 reached $1.64 billion, a record high

Odaily Planet Daily News Web3 bug bounty platform Immunefi released data showing that there were 40 hacker attacks in the first quarter of 2025, resulting in a record high of $1.64 billion in cryptocurrency losses. In contrast, the first quarter of 2024 increased by 4.7 times, when hackers stole about $348.3 million, although the number of attacks decreased by 36%, from 63 to 40. Most of the losses came from the $1.46 billion hacking attack on Bybit, while the losses from other attacks were about $176 million, a year-on-year decrease of nearly 50%. (The Block)
