A wallet on the BTC-e exchange linked to the 2014 Mt. Gox hack sent a total of 10,000 bitcoins, worth $165 million, to two addresses, including 6,500 bitcoins to wallets beginning with bc1ql7, CoinDesk reported. , sent 3,500 bitcoins to the address starting with bc1qzh, and these 3,500 bitcoins were further divided and transferred, 65 of which eventually seemed to flow to HitBTC. Gox, which closed in 2014 after 744,408 BTC were stolen. BTC-e was shut down by U.S. authorities in 2017, its servers were seized, and BTC-e operator Alexander Vinnik was also arrested in Greece and extradited to the U.S. in August 2022.
