Odaily Planet Daily News: American and Vietnamese companies asked the Trump administration to postpone plans to impose a 46% tariff on Vietnamese goods, saying the tariffs would harm them and bilateral business relations. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi expressed concerns to Commerce Secretary Lutnick in a letter dated Saturday, calling the tariffs that will take effect on Wednesday "shockingly high." The American Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce said in a statement: "Lower tariffs on products entering Vietnam, and lower tariffs on products entering American consumers, will help American companies, the economy and consumers. Higher tariffs will not." (Jin Shi)
