Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority Discusses Crypto Asset Attributes

After discussing the issue of the attributes of encrypted assets, the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority stated that if encrypted assets are not securities, investment vehicles or financial instruments, they must pay attention to any other legislation that may be applicable; if encrypted assets are regarded as Prospectus Regulation or Prospectus Law Securities or investment vehicles, attention must also be paid to any other legislation that may apply, such as rules governing market abuse and rules governing crowdfunding.
