TON Foundation Appoints MoonPay Co-founder Maximilian Crown as CEO

Odaily Planet Daily News: TON Foundation announced the appointment of MoonPay co-founder Maximilian Crown as CEO. Crown previously served as MoonPay's COO and CFO and has extensive experience in working with banks, payment companies and regulators. The appointment was made after TON Foundation received $400 million in venture capital, aiming to promote the global expansion of the TON blockchain. Over the past year, the number of active users of the TON blockchain has grown from 4 million to 41 million, although the price of TON tokens has fallen 46% over the same period. Crown said that TON's speed, scalability and deep integration with Telegram give it a unique advantage in the blockchain field, and plans to introduce 30% of Telegram's active users into the blockchain ecosystem by 2028.
